Interact with us via poster number 924440 and the Advances and Innovation in Formulation Development Rapid Fire session.

On Wednesday October 28th, Dr. Pamela Smith, COO of Improved Pharma, will present “Synchrotron-Based Formulation Development” in the Rapid Fire: Formulation and Quality – Chemical session. Those registered for the meeting can attend the presentation online. The session begins at 9:00 AM and Dr. Smith’s presentation is at 9:30 AM. The presentation is also available on Improved Pharma’s website at https://improvedpharma.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/10/Pamela-A-Smith-Rapid-Fire-2020.pdf. The presentation will provide a brief introduction to synchrotron X-ray pair distribution function techniques, describe various applications for formulation development, and present recent research projects such as monitoring the impact of humidity on an amorphous material prior to crystallization and detecting and quantifying very low amounts of crystalline material in a dispersion.

Starting Monday, October 26th, Dr. Susan-Bogdanowich-Knipp, President of Ravine Pharmaceuticals and consultant with Improved Pharma, will present “Salt Screen of Bedaquiline Using a Combination of Techniques to Identify Promising New Salts for Development”. The poster is part of the Manufacturing and Analytical Characterization – Chemical – Drug Substance Manufacturing and Development – Crystal Structure/Polymorph Screening forum. The results of salt screen activities of Bedaquiline using powerful, orthogonal analytical techniques to expedite the process, as well as a potential development path forward for select salts of Bedaquiline will be described.  The full poster can be accessed here https://improvedpharma.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/10/BQ-Salt-Screen-2020_Poster.pdf
